Choosing a theme to decorate a childs bedroom is a much better idea than
using a favourite character.
Boys will always love:
Cars, trains, aeroplanes, rockets, animals, pirates…..
Girls will always love:
Pretty flowers, butterflies, colourful shapes, glitter, sparkles,
trendy patterns….
Choose some eye-catching wall art with one of these themes, they will
grow with your child
and will always be loved. You can display toys and ornaments on shelves
to complete the look.
Pick out a colour from your chosen wall art and find this colour (or similar shade)
to paint walls (use colour booklets from B&Q etc).
TIP: By choosing wall art BEFORE decorating a bedroom, you can take
inspiration from this, using similar colours for the paint. This is much easier than
finding wall art to match walls already painted.
TIP: Pale blue walls with pale yellow skirting boards will complement a boys or
nursery wall decoration with similar colours
